Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Memnio, an adaptive learning app. By creating an account or using Memnio, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the app.

1. The service

Memnio assesses what you know about a subject, generates AI-powered practice questions calibrated to your level, and adaptively drills you until you've mastered the material. Questions are generated using AI and are intended to support learning — while we take steps to verify their quality, we don't guarantee every question or explanation is error-free.

2. Your account

You need an account to use Memnio. You're responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for all activity under your account. You must provide an accurate email address and be old enough to legally enter into these Terms in your jurisdiction.

3. Subscriptions and billing

• Memnio offers a free tier and a paid "Pro" subscription with expanded access, billed monthly or annually through the Apple App Store or Google Play.
• Subscriptions auto-renew at the end of each billing period unless cancelled at least 24 hours before renewal. You're charged through your Apple or Google account, not directly by us.
• You can manage or cancel your subscription any time via Profile → Manage Subscription in the app, which opens Apple's or Google's native subscription management.
• Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their own refund policies — we don't process refunds directly.
• Deleting your Memnio account does not cancel an active subscription; cancel it separately to avoid further charges.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use Memnio for any unlawful purpose.
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or extract our knowledge graph or question bank at scale.
• Interfere with or disrupt the app's operation or security.
• Share your account with others or use another person's account.

5. Intellectual property

The Memnio app, its knowledge graph, and the underlying adaptive learning system are our intellectual property. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the app for your personal learning. You retain no ownership over generated question content, which exists solely to support your use of the app.

6. Account deletion and termination

You may delete your account at any time from Profile → Delete Account. See our Privacy Policy for exactly what happens to your data. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

7. Disclaimers

Memnio is provided "as is." We don't guarantee that using the app will result in any particular learning outcome, exam score, or certification. AI-generated content may occasionally be incorrect or imprecise despite our verification steps — always use your own judgment, especially for high-stakes learning goals.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Memnio and its operators aren't liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose.

9. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We'll update the "Last updated" date above when we do, and communicate material changes in the app.
